Ned Johnson Cash
October 25, 1924 – May 7, 2013
Ned J. Cash, always dapper with hat and jacket, was an icon in Downtown Brunswick. A Watchmaker and Hand Engraver since 1942; he moved to Brunswick in 1946. He named his business “Ned Cash and ASSOCIATES Jewelers” with the intention of surrounding himself with others that worked to his same standards. This tradition is carried on through his business partners Mitch and Peggy Parrish, along with the rest of the ‘associates’ that have been caring for you for years. We all think of our friend, Mr. Cash, every day when we see his hat hanging on the wall.
Old style service at our full service jewelry store continues, and the legacy of Mr. Cash lives on through us…his associates…and you… the customers that we have come to know and love like family.
Bennie Mitchell Parrish III
Owner, Graduate Gemologist, Clockmaker
Mitch Parrish is a lifetime resident of Brunswick and graduate of Glynn Academy. He has been in the industry since 1985 and worked with Mr. Cash for twenty-eight years. Mr. Parrish has his Graduate Gemologist degree from The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in California. He is also our Clockmaker and Machine Engraver. And he does make house calls…for clocks that is (a grandfather clock is a little bit difficult to carry in for service)! It is no coincidence that his co-owner has the same last name. He and Peggy met in 1995 and married in 2000. They partnered with Mr. Cash in 2007.
Peggy Shanahan Parrish
Owner, Buyer, Advertising, Jewelry Consultant
Peggy Parrish has lived in Glynn County since 1995. She has been at Ned Cash Jewelers since 1998, and worked with Mr. Cash for 15 years. She has several degrees from the State University of New York at Buffalo (B.S. Human Resource Management, B.S. Marketing, B.A. Psychology, and Minors in Communications and Sociology) all of which have assisted her in picking out a range of beautiful items for the store, helping customers with their needs, and public relations/advertising (And yes, that is her voice you hear on the majority of our radio commercials.). It is no coincidence that his co-owner has the same last name. She and Mitch met in 1995 and married in 2000. They partnered with Mr. Cash in 2007. Peggy has a love for Historic Downtown Brunswick and strives to help with its ongoing revitalization; she has been on the Brunswick Downtown Development Authority Board since 2004 and is the current Chairman.
